IIM-Calcutta Summer Internship: Students Receive 513 Offers, Rs 1.65 Lakh Average Stipend

First-year MBA students at the Indian Institute of Management, IIM Calcutta, have accomplished a significant feat by managing to secure an average monthly salary of Rs 1.65 lakh for their summer internships. Students from the institute performed exceptionally well in spite of the difficult market conditions, demonstrating their talent and commitment in the business world.

On October 18, IIM Calcutta successfully wrapped up the first-year summer internship placement cycle, securing 513 offers for 466 students enrolled in the prestigious two-year MBA curriculum.

The statement made on Wednesday states that the students managed to obtain a record-breaking average stipend of Rs 1.65 lakh per month, with the median stipend reaching an amazing Rs 1.7 lakh per month, despite the ongoing macroeconomic concerns.

According to the records, the highest domestic stipend was an astounding Rs 3.75 lakh per month, while the top 25 percentile of the group received an average of Rs 2.31 lakh per month.
