Centurion University In Odisha Organises A Screening Camp And Programme For Cancer Awareness

Odisha's Centurion University of Technology and Management, India's first skill university, has partnered with the Cuttack-based Awaaken Cancer Care Trust to host a "Cancer & No Tobacco Awareness Programme and Screening Camp."
Honourable Dr. Supriya Pattanayak, vice chancellor of Centurion University, and cancer activist and head of the Awaaken Trust, Ms. Swagatika Acharya, were among the dignitaries who attended the World Hospice and Palliative Care Day (WHPCD) celebration.
Cancer activist and Awaaken Trust chairperson Swagatika Acharya talked about her personal experience receiving a cancer diagnosis, emphasising how early diagnosis and appropriate treatment helped her overcome the illness. Following this encounter, she set out to raise awareness of cancer through the Awaaken Cancer Care Trust, which guarantees treatment for those who are diagnosed in addition to raising public awareness.
Dr. Kshitish Mishra, an oncologist from MD Carcinova Hospital, also attended the screening camp and awareness campaign. He gave a talk about tobacco's harmful effects on humans and cancer. He also responded to inquiries from the students. In addition, Dr. Falguni Mishra, MBBS, Fellowship, Critical Care Medicine, Apollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai, chaired a session on "Gynaecological Problems in Adolescents."
Dr. Mishra composed and performed a song about cancer awareness that was also featured at the event.
