Campus News
The Vishwakarma Awards for Engineering Innovation are an annual competition held by the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IITD) in collaboration with the Maker Bhavan Foundation (MBF) to identify and recognise technological innovators from science and engineering institutes in India.
The WIN Foundation and IIT Delhi are partners in the co-organization of the Vishwakarma Awards in 2023. On January 6, 2024, eDC IIT Delhi will host the Vishwakarma Awards finale.
The pupils who demonstrate the most ingenuity in each track or theme are given this honor. The tracks for this year include clean tech, smart mobility, and water and sanitation. Innovations are judged according to how well they can address practical issues.
Selected teams will get funding for prototypes, industry expert mentoring, and a stage on which to showcase their solutions. Finalist teams that are honored for "most innovative solution" and "best product design" in each track will also be eligible for extra funding, which may include an MBF fellowship to help them refine their prototype into a commercial product.
This competition aims to inspire student teams to come up with innovative solutions to problems that actually exist in the domains of clean technology, smart mobility, and water and sanitation.
