IIT-Mandi Was Named a 'Green University' At The COP28 UAE Conference

The Indian Institute of Technology Mandi (IIT Mandi) was awarded the prestigious Green University Award at COP 28 in the United Arab Emirates. Green Mentors, a non-governmental organisation in the United States having special consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), bestowed this honour.
This honour was given at the prominent CoP 28 platform on a global scale. IIT Mandi states that its objective is to increase environmental consciousness among young students and campus inhabitants, as well as to conserve nature and natural resources in the surrounding area. IIT Mandi is actively engaged in performing environmental audits, implementing Green Audits, and promoting vegetarian food options on campus to maintain ecological balance, according to the institute.
