Campus News
Four new scholarships are being established by Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for its law and chemistry students. These scholarships, which will begin to be awarded in the academic year 2024–2025, are being established since the institution has been given a donation of Rs 20 lakh under the Pratidana project.
Madan Mohan Kayastha and his spouse Santosh Kayastha have contributed this amount in remembrance of their parents. Mr. Kayastha graduated with his M.Tech. in Industrial Chemistry in 1951 from Banaras Hindu University.
Established in honor of Sh. Madan Mohan Kayastha's parents, the Sita Ram and Ajudhia Devi Scholarships, will be given to one female first-year B.Sc. (Hons) Chemistry student and one first-year M.Sc. (Chemistry) student at the Institute of Science.
As a memorial to Mrs. Santosh Kayastha's parents, the Bhagwati and Mulk Raj Mahajan Scholarships have been established (Mahajan). A female first-year BA (LLB) Hons student and a second-year LLM student will each receive a scholarship.
