Pondicherry University is inviting admission applications for the PhD through the PhD entrance examination. Candidates can submit their applications by June 29, 2023.

PhD admission process for 2023-24 has begun at Pondicherry University. For admission to Pondicherry University for the academic year 2023-24, candidates must appear in the Pondicherry University PhD entrance examination. The application form for Pondicherry University must be completed via the university's official website at pondiuni.edu.in. The deadline for submission of application forms for the various PhD programs offered at the university is June 29, 2023. A candidate must choose three exam centers in order of preference on the application form. The university will assign the exam center based on the choices filled out. According to the selection criteria, 70% of the weight will be given to the entrance exam at Pondicherry University and 30% to the interview and academic record.

Eligibility Criteria for PU Entrance Exam 2023

• To be eligible for the entrance exam, candidates must have studied under Class 12 and hold a bachelor's degree and a master's degree. They must have scored at least 55% on their class 12 examinations. 
• For students who have achieved a master's degree in the faculty of law, engineering and technology, agriculture, veterinary science, or a doctoral degree in the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, or Paramedical Sciences of this university or any other university by completing regular full-time study and achieving a minimum of 55% marks, they will be eligible to apply for PhD programs either part-time or full-time.
