The University of Delhi is registering eligible candidates for its Competency Enhancement Scheme (CES) 2023. A merit list of candidates will be released within seven days of registration on the institute's official website, ces.du.ac.in. Registrations will close after thirty days. The Institute of Lifelong Learning (ILLL) will serve as the nodal center for the program. The official notice says, 'From the academic session 2023-24, the University of Delhi has rolled out the Competency Enhancement Scheme (CES) announced in the Centenary year to enable up-skilling, re-skilling and lifelong learning. Online applications are invited for registration under CES.'

The official statement also emphasises the eligibility criteria and the merit list. The DU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Yogesh Singh, explained that entrepreneurs can increase their business by acquiring new skills/technology under this scheme, which aims to increase efficiency by supplying them with new information. The study of management courses will also enhance the management skills of lower/middle management employees. As a result of this scheme, those unable to acquire the requisite qualification earlier due to socioeconomic conditions or shortages can realise their dream of getting higher education.
